Do you use 'Bump and Reset'? If you do, please help!

If you are absolutely baffled by the phrase 'bump and reset', then don't worry, as you were.

As you might know, we are re-platforming Mumsnet Talk later this year. At the moment we are in the first testing phase and we have a working prototype that we are testing with users.

We now have a prototype for the 'My Threads' section, which encompasses Threads I'm On, Threads I Started and Threads I'm Watching.

Within Threads I'm Watching there is a feature called 'bump and reset', and we specifically want to test this new prototype with users who use this feature.

If you use bump and reset and you'd be happy to get involved, please respond to this thread and I will be in touch with more details.

Thanks

MNHQ

I use it sometimes the rest of the time I unwatch/watch from inside the thread but it’s cumbersome and I sometimes forget to re- watch so lose threads.

marriednotdead · 13/07/2021 09:37

I use it, interested to see what you have come up with!

LanaDelBoy · 13/07/2021 09:47

I do! I have found it buggy historically on a mobile browser but it works often enough that I use it. It could definitely be improved though! And would like to be able to do it easily from inside the thread.

I only use TIW, not threads I'm on/ started as TIW seems to act more sensibly and consistently.

VettiyaIruken · 13/07/2021 10:27

I use it.

Sparklystar · 13/07/2021 10:44

FiveShelties · 13/07/2021 10:47

Yes, I use this regularly.

Batsy · 13/07/2021 11:37

i use it with my watched threads every time i go back to read them.

ThatOtherPoster · 13/07/2021 11:57

I don’t know what it is so I won’t apply for the testing.

But what is it? It sounds useful.

Izzy24 · 13/07/2021 11:58

Is it the same as using the bookmark?

SpringCrocus · 13/07/2021 12:36

I use it all the time on my TIW

AlmostSummer21 · 13/07/2021 13:09

I'm one of the baffled ones 😂😂😂so I'll leave you to it. Curious to what it is though, so will go and ask MrGoogle!!

Jaichangecentfoisdenom · 13/07/2021 13:16

Hope it doesnt work like Threads Im Watching Bump and Reset. Would much rather keep it by latest posts. It doesnt work well on TIW at all.

Svalberg · 13/07/2021 16:47

Christmas21 · 13/07/2021 21:47

I use it lots.

MilesOfSand · 14/07/2021 00:46

I use it, I wish it would just auto bump the threads that have updates though.

BooseysMom · 14/07/2021 01:16

I use bump but not reset. I didn't know there was a reset!

1984isnow · 14/07/2021 01:24

I have used it but I don’t actually know what it does. I assumed it would ‘bump’ an inactive thread back onto the active screen but it doesn’t seem to do that

cantgetmyheadroundit · 14/07/2021 01:33

I use it all the time on the mobile site.

RuthTopp · 14/07/2021 07:09

RedlightGreenlight · 14/07/2021 08:36
