Does the site keep going down or something?

Since yesterday I have had times where FIrefox "cannot establish a connection to Mumsnet" or times where I click on something and it times out as MN not responding. Help!

(Or is it something my DH has done to stop me being on here?????????????????????????)

Hi Buda, sorry, it's me. I had a couple of changes and fixes to put in, so got up early to do - to minimize the impact. It should be OK from now on.

tech.. still crashing from time to time....what;s to do?

i thought it was just me because it's took me 15 minutes to access the site...i nearly had a look at netmums

not crashing per se, it is timing out, something to do with the server?

Crashes for me too occasionally. Twice yesterday and once today so far.

I thought it was just me - or DH trying to tell me something!

Errr Friday afternoon is my pure me time...no-one else in the house (except a sleeping DD3)...just me and MN...and you have ruined it all today [sob] ...I havn't been able to get on since I got home at 1ish...

...I did read about someone on BMC buying childrens age 10 clothes for themselves though....

Tech, I also have another (unrelated) question... I get Firefox (2.0.0.9 at the moment) consistently crashing when I access MN (Konqueror works just fine, BTW). I am using SuSE 10.0. Would that disappear when I upgrade it to SuSE 10.3??? Have you heard this before??? User error ?

Yep, I've had the same problem (timing out) a couple of times today too.

yes i'm finding this too!!!

I'm the only person in the office and have 2 hours to waste do loads of work, and thought i'd spend it on MN... but no... it keeps going down on me! (hhmm that doesnt come out quite right!)

someone yesterday suggested it was the phone ad.

And had to go on Babyworld FGS!!! And now my eyes have gone funny because of all the tickers and I feel sick from all the "huns"!!

its driving me nuts
