Why are there different layouts in different sections? I find it quite annoying that in several sections there are no "latest" posts, so unless you click on the thread you can't see whether anyone has added to it, whereas in other sections you can see the OP and the most recent addition.
Is this an experiment?
A new way of categorising different topics?
What is the rationale?
Thanks

I agree - the 'latest' post descriptor on the active convos screens was soo useful. Please put it back!

LilyMumsnet · 30/06/2021 18:42

Hi both, can you just confirm what device and browser you're using to access the site?

endofthelinefinally · 30/06/2021 20:20

Lap top and chrome.

BIWI · 30/06/2021 20:22

@LilyMumsnet

It's a deliberate thing though, on Active Convos. It's something to do with making the desktop site more consistent with the app - which is nonsense, IMVHO!

Requests to restore it have been ignored.

LilyMumsnet · 30/06/2021 20:41

Hi folks

Yes - this is part of the new look.
We can pass feedback on (which we know it's frustrating), but that's all we can do at the moment.

Seeline · 30/06/2021 20:42

It just seems silly to remove the bits that are useful 🙄

SometimesIFeedTheSparrows · 30/06/2021 20:43

Yeah - latest is very useful.

I agree and it's a point I've made several times already!

Why remove something that works to make something else better? You should be aiming to make the app better, so it's consistent with the desktop site.

Seeline · 01/07/2021 07:26

If they are downgrading everything to the level of the Android app we're all doomed!!

BIWI · 01/07/2021 09:07

@LilyMumsnet quite frankly, I don't know why any of you bother passing feedback on - it never seems to register or make any difference.

I know there's research ongoing right now, for the new platform (or whatever), but this change pre-empted any of that. Which also begs the question 'why bother doing the research in the first place?'

Who, genuine question, thought that this change was a good idea?
