Whaat, why is that a good excuse for pull a thread full of intelligent interesting comments? I'm guessing MN have been threatened by legal action from modibod and have taken the cowards way out. I hope I'm wrong!

What legal action can they threaten? Only opinions were offered! If it was because of the poster cutting and pasting Modi Bodi's reply, they could have just removed that post.

It does feel rather like women are being silenced yet again for having an opinion about wanting to be called women...

Hello. We removed the thread because it was sharing contact details of a staff member, which we didn't think was fair especially as it was being reported elsewhere. The OP also had some concerns due to the thread featuring in the wider media. Overall, we thought it was for the best to take it down.

Couldn't you just have taken the post with the staff details in it down?
I wonder if the OP really did have concerns?

If we started the same thread again without the staff details and knowing the daily fail wouldn't print the same story I wonder if it would still come down?

Do they advertise with @YetAnotherBeckyMumsnet? If so, is it the case that threads about companies MN advertises are not allowed to be discussed/criticised?

There was real distress and anger amongst posters about an ongoing issue of women being erased as a term of reference and instead referring to us by our biological functions. It's grim, it's a huge feminist issue and something MNet should be concerned about, not silencing.
