How come so many threads are deleted?

I'm still fairly new to the site, just wondered why so many threads get deleted? I've seen four this morning

Thanks for getting in touch about this.

Threads can be deleted for many different reasons.

For instance, if we believe that someone isn't posting with the best of intentions, we'll remove the thread. Also, sometimes people have privacy concerns about threads and so we agree to take them down.

We're a very large site with very many threads started every day, so there will always be a couple of deletions somewhere along the line.
