Choosing a topic when creating a thread

Why can't I choose a topic when I want to create a thread? If I want to start one I have to move to the mobile site. I'm on android.

It's the 'please select a topic' bit that doesn't work.

Sorry you're having problems selecting a topic. Does nothing at all happen when you click on the 'select a topic' bar? Or does it take you to the wrong part of the site?

Have you tried going into the topic you require and starting a new thread from within the topic? That might be the best way round things while we work out what's going wrong!

No, nothing happens, and when I try and do it from within a topic, its the same.
