Fewer options for layout in 'active' - and I miss them

Why has the option to have the username of the most recent poster to have posted on the thread vanished?

I appreciated being able to see who had responded to a thread, especially if posters who have expertise or interesting views are around.

It all feels more remote and less of a community, and I don't think that's an improvement.

Is this intended to be a permanent change?

It might be worth a rethink if so, depending on how far you see MN as a community with people able to see who's around (like seeing who's int he pub when you walk in)

Thank you - the layout for TIO and Unanswered both still show username of poster and time of the most recent post, so I'm hoping it's just a little gremlin, not an actual change

Hi @AuntieStella and thanks for your comments. It will be a change to the layout. We're preparing the site for an upgrade and as part of this work we're cleaning up the interface and making things more consistent across mobile/desktop.
