I wonder if anyone else has the same issue, because sometimes I dont know if its my computer, or mumsnet software end.
- If a thread is deleted, is it possible to get your devs to put in a notification for people who are in the middle of trying to post a reply when the thread is deleted, because its happened LOADS of times, where I type out a response, and then I just cant post it. It then turns out the post has been deleted while I was typing, but rather than getting a notification, it just makes the post button not work, and the only way i can find out that its been deleted is by copying and pasting my reply (just in case its another reason i cant post) and then refreshing page, when i can then see if its a thread deleted, or if the thread is still there, then its a different posting issue.
Then, there are also times when the post button just doesnt work. I dont think its my computer, as it happens on my phone too. Sometimes I have to do preview first, and then it might let me post after a few goes, or I do the c+p then refresh trick and then it lets me. I wonder if theres a software bug and would be interested to know if others ever have the same issue. Seems to be intermittent. Im using google chrome btw.
Other issue, is it really necessary to delete or temporarily take down quite reasonable threads, because of some spurious query over the validity of the poster. I sometimes think that an admin message reminding people to not get too invested, or a warning that will be turning off comments might be a better solution sometimes or allowing a user to turn off comments rather than mumsnet doing a dirty delete of the whole thing.
