Mumsnet, you are really scraping the barrel with your advertising here!! It's bad enough that using the app is virtually impossible because of the ridiculously large adverts that take up most of the screen, but this, well, I don't know what to say!! It is not something I have ever considered buying!

That’s a Google ad; it’s got the Google sign on the top right (unless I’m seeing things!) so it’s related to your search history, rather than being a MN ad. Although they could well just be targeting women of a certain demographic, rather than anything more specific.

Agree on the app being impossible to use.. the adverts are HUGE, just can't scroll

I agree on the ads being too large! During one thread I hit the cricut as 14 times! I assume it's to get us to subscribe to the ad free version?

Well I had a few in my 59 years but as someone who used to have to take a Valium before a smear I'm not sure I've ever looked closely at a speculum otherwise I would definitely not have got through the door 😀

It looks like it says 'for professional use' so maybe the advert-targeting algorithm has deduced MN may have above average numbers of people who might be involved in healthcare supply purchasing. Which I suppose may be true though I can't imagine their decisions being influenced by ads seen while MNing.
