Pages taking ages to load

Whenever I visit a thread where I have previously left a bookmark it's taking ages to load and move to the last saved post.

Are there problems?

Hi @CarlaH sorry to hear you're having problems. Please give us a shout if this is still happening and let us know your device and browser details. Flowers

Yes still happening. I am on a desktop pc (Windows 7) and use Firefox.

If I open a page which I have previously bookmarked I just have to wait ages for the bookmark function to work. I just get those two flashing dots which means things haven't loaded fully yet.

I have just done a quick test and it took nearly a minute.

It takes long enough for me to get fed up and open another page to look at something else whilst I am waiting.

Actually, quick update.

I just went to a new page.

As there weren't many comments on that page I read as far as they went, wanted to add a bookmark and wasn't able to as those dots were still flashing so the page hadn't loaded properly.

A few seconds later they stopped flashing and I was able to set a bookmark.

So basically I suppose I am saying that the pages are taking ages to load and the bookmark issue is just a side effect.

Hi OP

This is a bit of a pain but are you able to record this for us so that we can see it?

CarlaH · 06/05/2021 08:12

Sorry Lily I wouldn't have a clue how to go about that I'm afraid.

I will just have to put up with it I think.
