Massive drop down Ads at top of the page

If you use the option to skip to the next post from the OP, I've been getting a big drop down advert that covers half of the post I've jumped to - I read threads with 9kdest post ag the top, and am on an android tablet, using chrome. Screen shot attached.

I wondered what it was at the top of my page. Mine is a grey blank. Samsung galaxy, Samsung browser.

Big grey box for me too, it's been 2 or 3 days I think. Only on my Amazon fire though, the app is fine

Thanks so much for letting us know - we're investigating this now.
Could you let us know what happens when you refresh the page - or is it constantly stuck blank?

It appears when you scroll down and disappears when you stop. Doesnt appear when you scroll up. Refreshing the page does naff all.

Hi @LilyMumsnet thanks for investigating.
The ad/box actually hides all the tabs and refresh buttons when there. So you have to scroll up to get rid of the box to refresh. This gets rid of the box, but it reappears when you scroll down on the fresh page.

I'm getting this today too. Big grey banner at top of page with small ad on right obscuring the drop down options.

Getting it too.
Plus when I go to reply, my on screen keyboard moves the page so the big grey box covers the reply box I want to type inside, so I have to scroll it back into view

I'm on a PC.

Each time I click on a new thread it appears three quarters of the way down the screen with a large blank space above and a tiny cross in the corner. Has been happening for about a week(?)

In the great scheme of things this is a minor annoyance...

I’d assumed this was just me. It doesn’t happen on my iPhone 7, just my galaxy tablet. The pics are in landscape because I’m stuck in bed this week. If I try to do a proper screenshot on my tablet the stupid box disappears.

And, it’s taken me about a dozen attempts to post that. Was starting to wonder if the thread had been deleted!

Yes - it's doing the half a white page above the green thread title box.
It disappeared for a while when MN tech wizards patched it up on Wednesday but reappeared yesterday.

Not a huge worry...
