Can we have a cancellation option for ‘You have been mentioned’ notifications please, HQ?

I want to know if I get a PM, but most of the time when I get tagged on a thread I’m there anyway so it’s just annoying to have to go in & cancel the notification.

I would ignore them but then I don’t want to miss PMs.

You can turn off the @ notifications. I did as soon as they were introduced.

It doesn't affect your PMs, you will still get notifications of those.

As for how to do it, go to Customise, scroll down and there are options you can select. That's how to do it on Desktop but it might be different if you use the app.

I turned mine off too. Had to do it on my PC and it was a while ago. But there was an option.

OK, on Desktop where you see the board title, eg Site Stuff where we are now, over on the right there's a down arrow. Click on that and you'll see Customise. Click on that then scroll down to the options.

I don't mind being notified when mentioned on a thread. I quite like it. What I find infuriating is that if I am active on a thread, have it open and refresh the tab, and read and respond to the new messages mentioning me, I still get 3 or 4 notifications saying that I have been mentioned on the thread and I have to click on each one to clear it. It would be lovely if mention alerts could get automatically cleared one the relevant posts have already been seen via some route other than clicking on the mention alert.
