Really Annoying Adverts

I mostly read MN on my PC. But some of the moving adverts make it unbearable.
Currently on AIBU there is a Regatta at Next one, which fills both sides, making the threads look 'squashed'.
Some of the ad is animated, plus others further down which are animated and it makes for a very unpleasant reading experience.

Do they have to be so intrusive?

Hi @Nanny0gg thanks for flagging this. Are you able to provide a screenshot and the URL of the ad please? If you turn your phone/device to airplane mode or turn off the connection, you should be able to just click on the ad. This will show the URL which you can copy and paste without actually opening the webpage.

Not showing so far today. There are still animated ads but they don't take over my entire screen
