How do I make a whole paragraph bold?

Sorry if there is a better board to post this on and sorry for the basic question.

At the moment I either clumsily quote the whole post, rather than just the sentence or paragraph I want to refer to, or I have to asterisk every word.

Is there a short cut to make a sentence or paragraph all in bold?

TIA.

Asterisk at beginning and end of paragraph, no spaces, still have to do each paragraph separately so worth previewing in case of any hidden line breaks.

You don’t need to asterisk every word!

Every paragraph needs an asterisk at either end.

Hidden line breaks are the problem here - I've had many a bold fail for this. If you can remember to use preview you can avoid this. Basically do this but without the spaces after the * :

Perfect, thanks. I could have sworn I tried that ages ago and it didn't work, but I was obviously doing it wrong. Thanks again Smile.
