I'm a bit confused tech....if I change my nickname....as I've done for Christmas.....does my old profile, that is the profile that is "me" lose all detail?

I think this has been asked before, but could their be a basic profile attached to each name so that no matter what nickname we are using, it will have Member of MN since 2004 etc attached to it?

Obviously I've moved my profile to my new nickname.......

just had a thought, could it be copy profile rather than move profile. That would solve the problem, no?

Hi DingDong, Yes, I was not "on" last night. The reason your profile doesn't move is that the original name change thing was so you could call yourself "EmbarrassingProblem" or whatever if you wanted to discuss something a little delicate. In that case you wouldn't want your profile going with you. We'll have a look at maybe putting a "move profile" tick box on the screen where you change nickname. It's not likely to be any time soon though. My things-to-do list is v long at the mo.
