threads I'm on seems fine, but clicking through to threads from there is haphazard

clicking on 'active conversations' and individual topics can take forever to download at times .. sometimes they never do

Hi twiglett, there were definitely some problems earlier this week, but it should be OK now. Are you still getting a slowdown?
