Hi @MNHQ

I've noticed recently that there are ALOT of threads dealing with coercion, sexual assault and rape.

The relationship threads, particularly ones that involve domestic violence or an OP's very fragile state of mind usually get a support post from MNHQ giving links to Women's Aid or Samaritans etc.

I think women and men who post on here deserve a similar post with rape and sexual assault discussions.

Not everyone thinks they can go to police. Not everyone thinks they'll be taken seriously. But to be told the option is still there would be paramount.

Links to self help guides for Rape and Sexual Assault survivors would be important.

Links to Samaritans.

Links to local RASAC services would be very important too.

What do you think @MNHQ? I'm trying my best to put what I can om these threads and respond to the ones, I see. But I don't think I'm getting to all of them and sometimes, my comments get lost in the thread. But a big blue comment from MNHQ will ensure the right info and support is given to those who need it.

The very fact that women and men are posting on here, to me, shows they are asking for some support and guidance on what to do and where to go.

I would be happy to give suggestions too.

I think that’s a great idea - hopefully MNHQ will as well!

Please do suggest any helpful organisations in this thread. Flowers

What a lovely and sensible idea. Thanks @mnhq for being prepared to do this.

Yay!! Thank you @MNHQ !

  1. NHS Guide to Help after Sexual Assault and Rape: www.nhs.uk/live-well/sexual-health/help-after-rape-and-sexual-assault/

That last one has a great section on how to support survivors too. I think this point is the most important:

Don't judge them, don't blame them. A sexual assault is never the fault of the person who is abused.
