Where's the hidden thread gone?

I'm on the computer. I hid a thread, changed my mind, commented and clicked 'watch this thread' and it doesn't show on 'threads I'm watching' or 'threads I'm on'. Have refreshed the page many times, used a different page and still nothing.

I went to 'manage hidden threads' and couldn't find it. It seems to be floating somewhere in the ether because I've clicked both hide thread and watch thread.

Sadly, the only way I can go back to this thread is to AS. There should be an 'unhide this thread' in place of 'hide this thread' when you've clicked it. Instead it always shows 'hide this thread' even after you've hidden it.

Hmm. Just double-checking that the thread in question is definitely still up and running? If we delete a thread, it will automatically disappear from your Watching and I'm On lists, but it doesn't sound like that's the case here...

It could be the case that we've edited the title of the thread - could that be it?

You've said you're on the desktop site - can you please let us know which browser you're using too?

We'll try to get to the bottom of this for you, but it would help if you could send us a link (or hit the report button) on the thread in question.

Thank you @DawnMumsnet I did wonder if it was deleted or something but no, it's still up and running when I do an AS. Title is still the same.

I'm using Microsoft Edge. Have reported it.

Thanks for sending the link to the thread - you're right, the title hasn't been edited so that's one thing we can tick off the list

Can you go back to your Settings (click on the blue down arrow in the white circle beside the word Talk at the top left of the page), then click on Customise, then scroll down to Talk Options, to the line that says: 'Put "hide" link on Active Conversations? (hide selected threads from Talk), show thread options on mobile:'

Is yours set to Yes or No?

Hi @DawnMumsnet, I don't have this option there but I realise much older accounts have more options. I have a much older one but lost the sign in detail years ago.

This should take you to a page that will show you all your active conversations, but also anything that you've excluded, and this will allow you to include that thread again.

Hi @LilyMumsnet Thanks for the link. However, it's the same page I see when I go to 'manage hidden threads & topics' and no, that thread is still nowhere to be found.

It's odd because this isn't the first time I've hidden, changed my mind and clicked 'watch' - in fact I did it again after this thread - and the threads always appear on my TIW page. So, don't know but that's alright. It's not completely gone, I can still search for it if I want to access it.
