Notification for thread I haven't posted on

Hi MNHQ,

Recently someone tagged me on a thread I hadn't posted on. Despite checking my notifications, I haven't received a notification for this mention. I don't think they spelled my name wrong. I'm getting notifications when I'm tagged in threads I've already looked at/posted on, but not for this one, that I haven't.

I have the emails turned off, because I find it annoying getting 5 million emails for threads I'm already on. I didn't mind the notification system in theory, but it's doing the exact opposite of what I want, annoying me with references to threads I'm already reading and yet not letting me know when someone wants my attention and doesn't already have it!

I can't forward the email because that's the problem, I didn't receive an email (or rather, a notification). I have tagging emails turned off, but I think I should have had a notification through the red dot, and I haven't.
