Just as long as it doesn't have any james blunt on it.

DANCESwithHughJackman · 26/10/2007 17:04

or katie melua

Tortington · 26/10/2007 17:05

why would they do that?

ScaremyVile · 26/10/2007 17:11

How would they ever decide on which were 'our' favourite songs?
Are we supposed to all like a certain type of music when we become parents?

RoyKinnear · 26/10/2007 19:13

ok then !!!

witchandchips · 29/10/2007 09:58

scaremy, think the idea that we would sort out the playlist in a thread

OP posts:
AbbyMumsnet · 29/10/2007 11:20

It's a great idea, but, IMO, not possible. Logistically, the amount of work that it would involve - dealing with all the publishers, record companies and so on, waiting to get clearance from each artist etc - and the actual costs of licensing each track, would make it totally unworkable.

CadaverousCorpulentCarmenere · 29/10/2007 11:21

Not to mind the protracted online fight that would ensue about what went on it

witchandchips · 29/10/2007 11:25

but can we have the fight anyway?

OP posts:
CadaverousCorpulentCarmenere · 29/10/2007 11:26

Certainly, I'll go first. I like James Blunt and Katie Melua

witchandchips · 29/10/2007 11:37

quick slap round the chops to you then

OP posts:
AbbyMumsnet · 29/10/2007 11:54

CCC - JB and KM???? I have just voted you off... Simon Cowell style.

CadaverousCorpulentCarmenere · 29/10/2007 12:14

Oh no Abbey I was being deliberately contentious. I don't like either of them, I was just trying to oblige wichandchips with a scrap

AbbyMumsnet · 29/10/2007 12:15

Sorry, still recovering from a 17 hour journey from the Scilly Isles and not quite up to speed. Perfect suggestions for a scrap though, or even a virtual arm wrestle.

EffiePerine · 29/10/2007 12:17

What about a best of MN thread? I could put lots of v v old music on it as nothing on my iPod post 1980

I vote for

Dusty Springfield, In the middle of nowhere
Sandy Shaw, Rose Garden
Francoise Hardy, Tout les garcons et les filles

(having 60s pop sesh atm)
