IGNORING STICKY option on customise. Why when I say Yes to ignoring them do they still appear as stickies on my screen ?

On the little description of ignore stickies, it says that the threads will only appear whenthey are active, jut slike any other threads. So why are they still appearing with the sticky icons at the top of active convos for me and not in the normal active convo list like any other active thread

My stickies won't unstick either.
