could we have a button to delete our own for sale threads?

there are soooo many and people keep posting the same picture trails and never tell you whats on them anyway, just 'come and look' or 'anyone want anything' and it soooo irritating. so could they delete their own thread and then for sale isnt full of the same pic trail links. and then we would also know what has already sold.

This is a grand idea and is most definitely in the pipeline - sorting out of classified is Tech's next big project after we've launched customisable talk (this afternoon!) and a few other iddly-biddly bits n bobs. Thanks for the reminder.

oooh, cant wait for customisable talk! i know for sale is a bit of a sore point with lots of people but its getting impossible to see what anything is to buy it. agree with it going after a week, that would make things easier. thanks justine and tech

They should definitely expire after a certain length of time. But you need to be careful when, as there are genuine MNetters who do use them. And it is nice to update to say if things have been posted/arrived, and what with the RM being what it is at present - that can definitely be longer than a week.

I like the idea of having classified completely seperate to talk.
