Please help us to improve Threads I'm Watching

Do you use the 'Watch' feature on Mumsnet? If so, we'd be really interested in getting some feedback on how you use this feature to inform any improvements we might make in the future.

We are interested in hearing from anyone who has watched a threads and who accesses the Threads I'm Watching page, but we are very keen to also hear from people who use the 'bump and reset' feature on the Threads I'm Watching page too.

We have a short(ish) survey we'd like you to fill in here. If you'd be happy to take part in a remote research session about Threads I'm Watching we'd be grateful if you could add your contact details to your survey response.

Thanks

MNHQ

Done.

I think it works just fine. Please don't tinker with it.

Done. Agree that it works fine. I'm not sure how you could improve it!

k1233 · 19/12/2020 03:46

The only improvement I'd like is for threads to be ordered so those which have current responses are at the top of the list

I also said it works fine, have no issues with it but this is actually a good idea, although not a big deal for me.
drspouse · 19/12/2020 06:33

I occasionally use it but it doesn't seem to be 100% compatible with Threads I'm On, not quite sure what the difference is. I'll check it out and do the survey!

I'd like threads I've posted on to be removed from TIW and left in just one place, TIO. The TIOs tend to go to the top of the list obvs and I end up not seeing updates to the TIW.

There's an option to 'automatically watch threads you've posted on'. You can click/unclick it. Think that should solve your problem.
tappingintherain · 19/12/2020 06:59

You can also click 'unwatch' or 'Remove' from TIW page.

@tappingintherain Star you star!
Grin I've only been here 20 years, and never realised that! Thank you!

Ginfordinner · 19/12/2020 07:07

Never come across bump and reset before.

You're very welcome. Only just realised a few things myself too having been here on and off for a long time. Two of which were right there in front of my face. Just never noticed them Grin.

Me neither. Does anyone know what it is or how it works?
Ginfordinner · 19/12/2020 07:45

I have just been to play with this feature. It bumps a thread to the top.

Yes to this!

Never noticed it as a separate function myself till the survey. It just didn't click so I always though it was part of the Remove feature.

Didn't want to try it so I don't mess up the page, not knowing what the hell it does. Thanks for the info.

Although I'd rather the threads bumped automatically as a pp said.

chuffedasbuttons · 19/12/2020 08:29

None of these things work on a mobile which is what I use.

CircleofWillis · 19/12/2020 09:34

I would like there to be an option for threads I have placed a bookmark on to be automatically added to my watch list. I keep losing threads as it is a pain to scroll all the way to the too if a page to click on 'watch this thread'.

Yes they do if you access mumsnet through a web browser. I don't use the app because it doesn't have the functionality that mumsnet on a web browser does.
Newfluff · 19/12/2020 23:07

Fwiw I can't access the survey, it won't load

Good idea.
