MN pregnancy related ads on adoption board?!

I really think it's crass that ads for MN pregnancy/new baby emails are slotted in between threads on the adoption board. Lots of adopters have struggled with infertility, lots of posters come there for early info if fertility treatment isn't working for them, they don't need 'just found out you're pregnant?' or whatever in the middle of the thread list. Are MN just bunging them everywhere? They're not on the infertility or miscarriage boards, are they? Sad Do better MN.

I think the ads are tied in with your browser cookies.
I'm getting adverts for jewellery and oodies because my friends have sent me links over WhatsApp. I imagine the adverts you are seeing are related to what you've viewed previously.

I know it doesn't help, but I don't think mumsnet can control the adverts we veiw.

They’re on the infertility board too.

We are all there because we are not expecting babies.

This is seriously insensitive.

Here’s another.

Right above “how to stop being sad” [about not being pregnant].

Shoving “sign up for our pregnancy updates” in the faces of people desperate to get pregnant really is cruel.

I got one on infertility earlier tonight Hmm. Luckily today I could just shrug it off, but another day it might well have been a different matter.

Thanks @nothingcomestonothing for raising awareness of it.

I have noticed this, they're on boards like gardening and s&b which people use if they don't want any mention of babies and pregnancy. Many people who have infertility hide the parenting boards, so to just plonk these ads everywhere is extremely insensitive.

Hello everyone, thanks for bringing this to our attention - and we're really sorry for any upset caused. We're looking into this with our ads team now.

This issue should be fixed now but please let us know if you see anything else you think we should take a look at. Flowers

Hi again, just letting you know that these ads have definitely been blocked now. However, it might take a little while for this to take effect on your page. Please let us know if you continue to see them in the coming days. Thank you.

Thanks so much for sorting this out. Flowers
