Numbered posts?

Was thinking the other night how useful it would be if we could have all the posts numbered 1, 2, 3...

Then you could refer back to someone's comment/argument/whatever more easily if you wanted to comment on it specifically, couldn't you? Might save a bit on misunderstandings...

Does that make sense or am I just being the World's Dullest And Most Anal Woman today?

But it's easier to have numbers, DG, I reckon?

It'd also help when you are reading back through a long thread and have to break off halfway through to do something like changing a nappy, feeding a baby or talking to DH (OK, I made the last one up...!)

Oh and yep...numbering the posts would be easier than putting date, time etc... so I vote for that too
