Active Threads inconsistent

Why are the threads shown on my 'Active Threads' so different from my OHs? Or even, different between viewing in the Mumsnet app and via a browser? They're so random; what are the actual criteria for inclusion in Active? And are these criteria modified by, for example, my Favourites?

There are criteria for exclusion. Partic SN children and Adoption, too many people were crashing threads in these boards hefting their bosoms at the responsive and therapeutic parenting styles described, sometimes v unkindly.
Iirc FWR also excluded.

Now re included, could that be linked to the topics you have opted out of? You may have different opt outs from your OH, I mean.

Everyone's active is different - it can be based on TIO/TIW and last posted on. Sometimes the app takes a little while to update - is it the IOS or android app?

It's the Android app. I'm not very impressed with it. What are TIO & TIW?

Is it because you have some topics hidden, perhaps?
Are you saying that if you and dh, on separate machines, hit "active conversations" two different list of threads appears?

I have a problem with it jumping from active to trending threads, so when I go back to the active thread list it might be the trending threads instead. Very annoying.
