Can we have a tick box to opt out of Christmas threads???

I really really don't want to have to think about Christmas yet.

I don't want to think about what to get for presents, arguments about rellies. I don't want to think about interesting things to do with marzipan. Active Convos is filling up with Christmas and it's not even Halloween yet.

Can I at least opt out until December???

CarrieMumsnet · 14/10/2007 23:22

Opt out is on it's way, we promise. But till then you'll just have to try and look the other way. Sorry!

NormanBatesFletcher · 14/10/2007 23:24

You mumsnet lot really never do take time off do you?

(wonders who you were posting as on some other thread to keep you here at this time of night )

MamaG · 15/10/2007 08:49

Right, I'mj going to start all my christmas threads in chat

PeachesMcLean · 15/10/2007 09:46

at MamaG.

What made me laugh was that after I posted this bah humbug rant, not a Christmas thread was to be seen in active convos. I must have looked a real idiot.

Humbug

Gobbledispook · 15/10/2007 14:15

Ha ha! THe thing is, people start to buy now in order to spread the cost - or they at least look at what to get so they can organise finances.

Oooh, I am sounding far too sensible!

CappuScreamO · 15/10/2007 14:15

I'm with Peaches it is bleeding October

it's not even Halloween yet

PeachesMcLean · 15/10/2007 14:18

Gobbledigook I'm covering my ears. Far too pragmatic for me, thank you very much with your sensible remarks and your balanced advice.
