Taken down threads

Are threads that are taken down for a look behind the scenes ever put back up?

As Soubriquet said, it happens, but not all that often!

When we take a thread down to check behind the scenes it's usually because we've already found one or two areas of concern. Possibly our systems have flagged up a match with a previously banned poster, or maybe we can see some inconsistencies in the OP's posting history.

If we've got things wrong, though, we'll always own up, reinstate the thread and apologise profusely to the wronged OP.
