Need to log in every time to get back to Threads I’m watching

Just the above, really. Yesterday I was notified that “oops, there don’t seem to be any threads you are watching. Log in (had to reset password) to get them back” That worked, phew. Ticked: keep me logged in”. Nope, this morning I need to log in AGAIN. And accept cookies.
Why?

Using chrome (desktop site) on W10 laptop.

Only just logged in again. The box for 'keep me logged in' was ticked so I'll see if it works now... Give us a minute!

I found that somewhere I had chosen “Private”; when I unticked that it set it back to being logged in. I have no idea how, or when, or where I did, or undid it.

The stupid thin is that I ddon’t know the answer to that question. I tried to have a look on MyMumsnet (needed to log in and have a password reset), but could not find this private button. So it may have been somewhere else.
Not sure whether I am back to having to log in again.

iPad can take you an adventure through its' settings can't it? Grin (Mourns dead battery of last iPad - 30 second silence observed.)

I've scoured my browser settings (Chrome) and can't find anything. Am wary of clearing my cache as I did that quite recently due to an issue with MN and have had to log in ever since! I wonder if that little bit of information is remotely helpful to Tech.....

All today's postings on this thread have been interlinked with me closing my browser and then having to log in again when browser is re-opened.
