Why has my thread gone?

I started a thread last night , come back this morning and now it's gone !
Why?

Here's the deletion message from the thread:
Sorry folks. We're limiting the number of H&M threads on the site. There's already one running here so we'll take this one down now.

Why are you limiting them?

One thread was to discuss their new home.

The thread you’ve deleted was a wider discussion thread.

Doesn’t make much sense?

I cannot understand the moderation on HaM threads. Why the sudden deletion of this thread when it was a continuation of a popular one that had been allowed to run at the same time? No wonder people are leaving to go elsewhere...

@MichaelMumsnet Are other threads being limited? Could Mumsnet not put a note on saying that certain threads are limited then? If this is the case then why was the busier thread deleted? (that makes no sense?)

We kept the original, busier thread and deleted the new one.

The Meghan and Harry threads generate lots of reports - so it makes sense to only have one or two because we've got a limited amount of moderation resource.

We're fine to let one or two run but we tend to take down extra threads - especially if we get reports for them being full of gossip and speculation.

At the moment, there's a general thread running, and one about their new home - feel free to post in either of those.
