Just that really. I understand if people have commented edit shouldn't be allowed.

Hi OP

We are always more than happy to make edits - even if a thread hasn't yet been posted on. We'd always clarify that the post has been edited by MNHQ and try and give a reason.

An edit button is something that has been discussed at length in the past, and it's just not something that a majority of users want. If you ever want to make any changes to a post, just report the post to us and we'll do our best to help you. Flowers

I can’t see why you can’t have 60 secs to edit. I do understand why there needs to be a time limit but I don’t get why it can’t just be a short one.

Can I ask why it is something that is being offered to Premium users? One of the objections people have to edit buttons is that it allows people to edit their posts if they don't like the way the discussion is going, which makes the whole thing very confusing.

It's not available to premium users, at least as far as I know.

Pobblebonk · 16/08/2020 23:36

The information about Premium membership indicates that they’re working on this as a forthcoming benefit

BIWI · 17/08/2020 09:15

Ah yes. You're right - I stand corrected Smile

I agree. It's so annoying to see typos etc.
BIWI · 17/08/2020 09:24

If the typos ignore you, why not use the preview facility before you post?

I'm on the app, I don't think there is a preview post option, is there? Certainly can't see it to preview this post!
heartsonacake · 17/08/2020 09:52

Okay, so just preview your post by going back through it then. You don’t need a special preview button to check you haven’t made any errors.

Calm down dear, I was only saying.
heartsonacake · 17/08/2020 10:27

As was I, dear.

Grin at my own typo!

Sorry - I don't use the app much, so don't know.
