Where did the Mobile Site button go?

On the desktop site, there used to be a “Switch to mobile site” right at the very bottom of the Talk pages. It’s now vanished and I‘m stuck on the Desktop site. How do I get to the mobile site? I’ve asked my browser to request the mobile site but that’s being ignored too!

I was just about to ask the same thing!
I thought it was me being thick not being able to find it

Yes, I'm finding it v annoying having the desktop site on my iPad. Bring back the mobile site!

We've removed the option to switch between mobile and desktop.
From now on, when you load up, it should automatically be in mobile mode and there will be no option to change this, which makes for better usability on the site.

Can you close the web-pages down and log into the site again? After doing this, you will be in mobile site mode.

By better useability, do you mean greater prominence for ads?

Either way, logging out made no difference - I’m still being served the desktop version on iOS, even when I ask the browser to request mobile version.

Tried that and the iPad still loads in desktop mode. I can’t use it the text is too small and it’s too busy. Please can you fix this. I don’t know why you have removed the option?

Click on 'Talk Guidelines' at the very bottom of that page and then at the very bottom of the TG page you should see the option to switch to mobile.

(Personally, I hate the app and always use desktop on my ipad but different strokes etc.)

Oh I do not have the app. But I had to switch from desktop to mobile a while ago and got used to using it. I just find mobile site a bit easier to read

FFS I'm stuck on mobile now. I want to get back onto desktop.

@feelingverylazytoday Apparently the link to desktop is difficult to see on mobile - I'm told you have to drag the bottom of the screen down a bit to find it (haven't tried this myself as I prefer desktop)

Has anyone managed to get back to the desktop version? I absolutely hate using the mobile sight! 😢😭

No. I can't get it back. So I just no longer read MN on my phone. Shame but there it is.
