I have Mumsnet on my phone, and on there there is a bookmark symbol at the bottom of each post, which is very useful for marking my place on a long thread. But I also use Mumsnet on my laptop, and on there there is no such option. I must be doing something wrong, perhaps?

What am I missing and how can I bookmark threads when reading on my laptop, does anyone know?

Hi @Pemba,

You'll be glad to know that you CAN bookmark posts on the desktop site Smile.

If you go to the post you want to bookmark and hover your cursor in the bottom right hand side of the post, a little blue 'Bookmark' option should appear (as if by magic). Click on it to mark your place - if you then leave the thread and come back to it at a later stage, it will open where you bookmarked it.

Could you perhaps try turning it off on desktop and trying with it off? If it works then yes, we think something to do with ad-blocker. If not then we may need to do a bit more investigating.

@Pemba

Thanks everybody, but in desktop mode there are no three blue dots showing on each message. Also when I go to 'Customise' on the drop down Talk menu, there is no option for Display Bookmark Links. It goes

Scrub all that! It was because I was using an old display format! I discovered that by looking in the drop down Talk menu. Once I changed over the Bookmarks became visible - great!

Thanks for your help everyone.

Glad it's all sorted for you now, OP. Flowers
