This feature just appeared. It's brilliant, been waiting for this for ages.

I really hope it will cut down on the number of people reading just the first page then leaping in to a long thread that has massively moved on.

Good work MNHQ!

OP posts:
BoreOfWhabylon · 02/07/2020 14:00

@Tech - you've fixed it! I jumped straight to your post on that thread!

Tech · 02/07/2020 14:02

@BoreOfWhabylon

So, I have to scroll through 900+ posts instead of just hopping to the last one from TIO
This should rectify itself over the next few minutes. It's a slightly long story which I can explain if you like but won't unless you really want to hear it. It's a bit dull :-)
BoreOfWhabylon · 02/07/2020 14:05

No, you can spare me the details @Tech, I wouldn't understand Grin

You popping up on The Archers thread was enough to fix it!

Thanks again

LochJessMonster · 02/07/2020 14:09

Love this feature!

fourquenelles · 02/07/2020 14:10

No more 300 posts cancelling the cheque? What have you done? Grin It's a great feature Site Tzars. Thank you Gin

TeenPlusTwenties · 02/07/2020 14:13

Love it. Smile

BoreOfWhabylon · 02/07/2020 14:17

You can click 'see all' for any poster on a thread too!

Sparticle · 02/07/2020 14:23

Thank you MNHQ!

Zoomintheroom · 02/07/2020 14:31

It's great. I wondered why a mooncup had appeared at the top of the page!

doyounothavegoogle · 02/07/2020 14:53

This is a great feature - thank you!

I have just been on another thread where someone has said that they have never seen the OP's posts in a different colour. I wonder how common this is? It would certainly explain all the "any update from the OP?" posts which are very irritating if there are numerous (and significant) updates.

HollowTalk · 02/07/2020 15:00

I was just going to start a thread on this! It's fantastic - well done, MNHQ!

Topseyt · 02/07/2020 15:04

I've noticed this in the last couple of hours. It is great. We've been waiting a long time for this.

Samcro · 02/07/2020 15:07

ooh I like this. so useful.

Apileofballyhoo · 02/07/2020 15:10

Loving this @MumsnetHQ. It's the best thing ever. Thank you.

Iggi999 · 02/07/2020 15:42

Just looking for a thread on this to say thank you, great addition.
Though will reduce the many comedy "cancel the cheque" posts Smile

What is this 'cancel the cheque' ? Sounds like a bit of MN lore I don't know about.
Iggi999 · 02/07/2020 16:32

Ah, it was a wedding thread iirc, something about a bride being rude about the amount of their wedding gift and early doors the OP had cancelled the cheque - followed by 1000 more posts of people advising her to do what she had already done Grin

EasilyDelighted · 02/07/2020 16:33

Could it be hidden in the three dots dropdown please? It's irritating me already seeing it at the end of every OP post.

Merename · 02/07/2020 16:35

How exciting!

Bluntness100 · 02/07/2020 16:38

This is fantastic. Justine said it was going to be launched. Such a huge improvement, we don’t need to read through pages and pages of “bookmarking” to see updates.

doyounothavegoogle · 02/07/2020 16:39

@JocastaMillasta

It is when people don't bother to read a thread - not even to skim through just the OP's replies - and come on after 654 posts to suggest something that has been posted by 600 other people (and is usually no longer relevant as the OP has resolved the problem and given everyone an update).

I think bonus points are awarded if the suggestion(s) are not even relevant to the question asked.

I wasn't around for the "cancel the cheque" thread but I think that the opening post probably clearly stated that the cheque in question had already been cashed.

Happy to be corrected if I am wrong.

doyounothavegoogle · 02/07/2020 16:41

I see that @Iggi999 has explained it much better than I have whilst I was typing my reply Grin

Tech · 02/07/2020 17:07

That's very funny (about the cheque.) Btw Jocasta is my testing account. Sorry I forgot to switch back before posting. Very like the "is that you....?" thread from years back Smile

Willowkins · 02/07/2020 17:15

I've just seen this new feature. Love it Smile
