Donation v subscription

I'd be happy to show support for MN and contribute to its growth, but I don't want to subscribe and hand over personal data. I like the anonymity.

I've seen other posters agree that they'd be more inclined to give a one-off donation if that was an option. So is a donate button something MNHQ is considering?
