MN ads for Andrew Wakefield event?!

Anyone else seeing ads for something called 'freedomplatform.tv' event for 'Rose/Wakefield' - MMR vaccine hoaxer Andrew Wakfield doing a talk (I presume) about 'what the govt don't want you to know about vaccines'....?!

Do we really need this on Mumsnet? I'd not heard of this platform before but they've recently done an event with David Icke, which tells you what you need to know...

Wakefield has been thoroughly debunked and seems to make a living now from teaming up with woo-peddlers and conspiracy theorists. Not a great thing to be seeing on a site for parents, many of whom have ASD kids.

Oddly enough I was talking about Wakefield yesterday so I'm wondering if this ad is tailored to me (listening in from data-gathering apps...?!) - if so it'd be the first time ever on MN though!

Thanks for flagging this. These ads wouldn't have been placed by us - we imagine they're AdChoices ones (you'll spot a little blue x in the corner, if so).

Can you please let us know what device you're using, and which version of the site (desktop, mobile, app)?

And next time you see one, would you be able to grab a screenshot if possible? We'd also very much appreciate the URL - it'll help us to block it sooner. If you go into airplane mode before you click, you'll still get the link but you won't open the site.

@DawnMumsnet I thought they'd gone - seemed to have been changed for jewellery etc - but one popped up again but I'd clicked on something else before I could click the ad link! But yes, same ad as shown by songriver
