Display count of OP's posts

Just posted on a thread where OP has taken on board comments, admitted she was BU and it's because of previous anxiety. Loads of people will ignore this, not RTFT and just pile on.

If there was something at the top of each thread which said how many times OP had posted it might encourage people to at least scroll through to read the OP's posts and we'd have far fewer suggestions of cancelling the cheque.

So at the top.of each page it would say "OP has posted X times". If this could be incorporated with what I think has previously been requested so you can filter to read OP's posts only that would be great.

Wondered if anyone else thinks this is at all.worth considering.

It doesn't necessarily tell you anything. I NC every few days and delete my account and start a new one with new email address every few months due to MNs history of data breaches. Whereas some well known trolls will have hundreds of posts.

Beatingthisthing I meant within only that specific thread. This isn't about troll hunting but by showing how many times OP has posted in that thread it might point people to actually read OP's posts and not launch right in on page 5 having only read the OP. Unless you start a thread and then NC within that same thread to continue posting then NC is irrelevant.

Oh, yes that might be helpful but we've been suggesting helpful things to MNHQ for years and years and always get told 'good idea, we'll pass it on to tech'

DappledThings - we do like the idea a lot and think it may be effective in just the way you say.

We're not the tech heads here but will certainly do what we can to make sure this is picked up.

Can I suggest a feature to "show op and all op's posts on this thread"? I frequently wish that was possible!

We've just had a chat with Tech about this and actually there is something very much like this very much in the pipeline. We don't have a date at the moment but hopefully not too far off.
