I'm sure I have Meding conversations?

Or has my memory/mind finally snapped?

Hi OP

Can you let us know what device and browser you're using? Flowers

KatyMac · 20/05/2020 22:51

Phone android & Laptop Firefox

I was surprised they were gone on both

just realise one was a 30 day thread so I guess that just went

But another was much newer (I thought) maybe I just hid it?

Or I am going mad!

@KatyMac

just realise one was a 30 day thread so I guess that just went

But another was much newer (I thought) maybe I just hid it?

Or I am going mad!

Would you mind just checking that it hasn't been hidden?

First go to the main Talk page and click on 'Customise'.

Then, if you scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page, there is a blue box which says 'Ignore topics in Active Conversations'.

In this box will be a small link: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/topic-choice which takes you to a page that will show you all your active conversations, but also anything that you've excluded, and this will allow you to include that thread again if you've hidden it.

Let us know!

I use the iPhone app and it hasn't been working properly for weeks if not months. Not everything is showing up in my threads I'm on, abd everything that's on there is also showing up on my watch list. Things aren't moving to the top when they have new posts, I'm having to scroll through months worth of threads to find recent ones.

KatyMac · 21/05/2020 09:25

it says "We are not hiding any threads for you." which I found by clicking that link - but I can't find the 'main talk page' that has customise on (just so you know)

Just the one with the index on

& the thread that I think is missing (not sure if it's the only one as to be fair my brain is a little fazzled) is the one about getting my mum out of the nursing home back to her house with carers & I am sure that isn't 30 days old

Hi again @KatyMac, we've looked in your posting history and we think the thread you're looking for was started more than 30 days ago, so it's now automatically deleted. Was it the one titled "So the hospital just phoned..."? If so, it was started on the 18th April.

We're so sorry. If there's anything important on the thread that you'd like us to retrieve, we may be able to get our Tech team to help.

KatyMac · 22/05/2020 17:34

No that was the 30 days one

I thought there was another one about everything being so difficult with cv19 about finding carers for my mum

But I may have imagined it and anyway I don't need the advise in it any more

Thanks for looking

No problem at all, we're happy to try to get to the bottom of this for you. Smile

From what we can see of it, your posts on that thread that we mentioned above were talking about difficulties arranging carers. We can't see any other recent ones, apart from one in Chat, about organising wi-fi in a nursing home. Was it that one?

And just so you know, the Customise link that you were looking for can be found at the top of any page in Talk on the desktop site. So if you scroll to the top of this one, you'll see the word Talk in large font - beside that is a blue circle with a down arrow. If you click on the arrow, you'll find various links, including the Customise one.

Don't worry - I think it's my brain

No worries at all - do give us a shout if we can help with anything else though. Smile
