Two adverts at start of a thread?

StoorieHoose · 17/05/2020 15:50

Is there a reason why I'm getting two Promoted by Mumsnet adverts before the start of the thread?

Is this a ploy to get folk to move to Premium?

I've had the same using a Mac and safari.

SallyLovesCheese · 17/05/2020 15:58

I've had the same on Android with Chrome.

KKSlider · 17/05/2020 17:11

Same here on android with chrome.

I accept that adverts are part and parcel of being a non-paying member of MN but this is massively taking the piss.

Hi StoorieHoose,

Thanks for flagging this. We'll check with our Ads team and get back to you as soon as we have an answer.

JemimaPuddleCat · 17/05/2020 19:00

Yup, I'm getting two too. Unfortunately because they are MN ones they aren't caught by my adblocker. Does anyone know a way around that?

lovely123 · 17/05/2020 19:25

You still get these even as a paying member 🙄

KKSlider · 17/05/2020 20:17

Really? All the more reason not to pay then!

PleasantVille · 17/05/2020 20:19

I have two also, the blue highlighting is particularly annoying.

JoMumsnet · 17/05/2020 22:42

Hi again, thanks for your patience here (and thanks for all the screenshots).

The word from our ads team is they've deactivated the ads now - it looks like there was a mistake meaning that that two ads were activated at the same time.

Please let us know if you're still seeing two ads anywhere.

Many thanks Flowers

StoorieHoose · 18/05/2020 09:46

Thanks Jo.

No problem. Is it all looking okay for you today, @StoorieHoose?

StoorieHoose · 18/05/2020 10:37

Seems to be ok today
