Dont know if it is just me, but I cant get mumsnet talk to display in firefox which is the browser I usually use.

Even when using an alert link that I have go by email re new messages on a post.

But seems to be okay in chrome which I am using now.

Haven't changed any of my settings.

I'm using Firefox and it's fine for me.

We're sorry to hear that stumbledin - would you let us know which device you're using and whether you are accessing MN via the app or mobile site?

stumbledin · 10/05/2020 15:57

Hello again - I am still having problems ie links from email alerts dont work. I can the the url in the browser bar but nothing displays.

But if I go via google to main site, then topics everyting okay.

So sorry. It must be me. I am wonder if it might be my virus blocker as that is the only thing I have updated.

So thanks for the response, but suspect it is my end.

I did wonder as some sites I go to are now saying they aren't updating sites to work with firefox any more.

PS I am accessing via a desktop with Windows 7.

Hi again stumbledin - we'll get our Tech team to look into this just to be on the safe side.

In the meantime, if anyone else is having this issue, please let us know here.

KayElleBee · 12/05/2020 10:16

I'm having the same issue with Firefox since yesterday evening - the Mumsnet homepage works, but if I click on the link from there to Talk, it just goes to a completely blank page (no error message or anything). Clicking on Talk links in emails etc gives the same result. It's Firefox 76.0.1 (desktop version, not mobile) and it says it's up to date. Haven't made any changes recently. It's working fine in Edge.

What happens when you refresh the page? Flowers

BillHadersNewWife · 12/05/2020 15:44

Why would anyone use Firefox though?

stumbledin · 12/05/2020 16:11

Because Firefox is an online community project and not part of the global colonisation of the internet by non tax paying US corporates!

And until recently was the most widely used until these multinationals started to pressurise commercial organisations not to support it!

Nothing different happens when I refresh the page - it just refreshes the blank page.

DramaAlpaca · 12/05/2020 16:42

BillHadersNewWife I use Firefox just for MN - because I once had a problem getting MN to work on Chrome, but changing to Firefox fixed it.

LilyMumsnet · 13/05/2020 18:21

Hi folks,

Thanks for the extra info and sorry we haven't got to the bottom of this yet - please do bear with us, we're looking into it!

Bisforbert · 14/05/2020 11:47

I have the same issues as the above posters but I am using an Amazon Fire tablet, so Silk browser. Haven't changed or updated anything, started Sunday.

ThePenIsBlue · 22/05/2020 19:06

I’ve just posted a thread and then saw this. Slightly different problem but trying to open mumsnet in safari on my iPhone opens the bloody talk app instead 😡
