Thread deletion.

A thread I started about ageism on MN has just been deleted as a TAAT. Can someone from MNHQ please let me know why as I have not had the courtesy of an advisory e-mail? I merely mentioned that a previous thread (not mine) had been deleted. This was the sum total of the discussion of said thread.

Does this mean that each and every issue that has been the subject of a thread can nevermore be discussed as doing so will constitute a TAAT? More worryingly, is discussion about ageism on these boards not allowed? Is it to be shut down? It would appear so.

Will MNHQ please reply and not just press the delete button?

I agree Alexa, I was on your thread, and I think ageism should be discussed instead of being deleted.

I predict this too will be deleted shortly with the spurious reason that it’s a TAAT. 🙄

We don't allow threads about threads which is why it was deleted - and we don't have the resources to mail every time we do this.
