Question about hiding topics

If I hide a particular topic, but have posted on one thread within that topic, will that thread vanish as well?

Basically, in an ideal world I’d like to hide all the other threads in that particular topic but keep the one I’m currently following - not sure if that’s possible without simply hiding each individual new thread as it pops up.

Is there any progress on the thing on Chrome where if you try to hide a thread that has appeared under the Load More option - you get sent to an 'Oops that thread doesn't exist' page?

Not sure about the app as I don't use it. You need to be on the desktop site, can be done on a phone but very fiddly (there's a button right at the bottom of the page). Then next to Talk at the top left there's a down arrow, click that, then Customise, then select topics. I've just gone in to hide one and had a bit of a sort out, I have loads of them hidden, including aibu.

Hi @Spudlet - it looks like you've worked this out by now, but here's the hide topic link, should anyone else need it - Talk preferences - topics and threads.

As ExpletiveDeleted has (very helpfully!) pointed out, unfortunately you need to be using the Desktop version of the site to be able to hide topics. Just click on the link above and keep scrolling down to the bottom of the screen... there, in teeny tiny letters, is a link to the Desktop site.

Hopefully that's all clear but do shout if you need any further help.
