I've just noticed this - though mn was being very slow

We did it on purpose yesterday to make sure folks got to see it as we thought it was important that everyone got the chance to have their say. The message certainly seems to have got round now, so we've removed it. Sorry if it caused you upset.

JustineMumsnet · 07/09/2007 00:05

Hi all,
We froze it on purpose because we thought it good that we brought it to everyone's attention - if the government's interested in what we have to say then it seems sensible to make sure everyone has a chance to respond.

For future occurences though, we'll look at at adding some kind of notification so that you know we've locked a thread at the top of active conversations - to avoid any confusion/annoyance.

Cheers,
MNHQ
