I'd laugh at them. Anybody who uses terms like that after they've finished puberty, deserves to be laughed at.

It may break one of the guidelines, but does it actually bother you?

I started a thread last night, and quite a few people piled on to tell me that I had made it up. I hadn't, but I couldn't really care less if they don't believe me - I don't know them, and they weren't there.

I think some things are worth reporting to MN because they shouldn't be allowed to stand. With stuff like this, I think it's better to just ignore.

I did report it ,it bothered me because it's one of many posts putting the boot in and I don't really understand how MN moderate .

But I think yes ,better to ignore .

If it bothered you, OP, then you were right to report it. MNHQ can decide if it broke any of their guidelines.

I think context does come into it ,no lying and stirring were involved .

MN have sorted now .

Some posters actually are goady and deliberately misrepresent other posters to try to derail and get threads shut down, though. I would want to see this post in context.

I had this recently. I was a blatant personal attack, MNHQ did nothing. Apparently they didn't feel that it was. It really quite clearly was. I very very rarely report posts, and from now on I never will. Let the nasty posts stand OP. It let's others reading the thread see what the person throwing around insults is.

Admittedly I havent read the thread, but it does seem from the title a very general topic , which would be full of differing opinions.
Unless you have been gossiping to the Queen behind Megans back I am not sure how this accusation came about.
I agree with the other posts, if you feel a line was crossed you should report and let the Admin sort it out.
