Competition winners - MN insights - who won?

NameChange2PostThis · 21/02/2020 23:30

Hi MNHQ I cannot find any updates to Winners Corner from around halfway through 2019. I know you are really keen for more MNers to take part in surveys so it would probably encourage more people to take part if they could actually see the results. I know you sometimes post on actual feedback threads but eg still waiting to hear about Deliveroo prizes. Thanks.

Hi OP

Thanks so much for getting in touch.

We're flagging this to our lovely insight team now- they are always happy to receive feedback. Flowers

Appreciate we are in lockdown and all that but seriously how long does it take to respond? Three months and counting...
There are loads of insight threads that have no announced winners plus the winners thread linked to in the Insight T and Cs is out of use.
Please sort it out @MNHQ

@NameChange2PostThis apologies we didn't get back to you before now.

We know we have a few outstanding prize draws, and we're running all of these this week. You'll see that many of them were announced on the threads for each individual activity yesterday, but there are still a few more to go. We'll also be going through our records and ensuring we've announced some slightly more historic prize draws, but please do bear with us as we're slightly thin on the ground at the moment.

Sorry, ladies but Mumsnet Insight is starting to look like a scam. There are many product tests, prize draws etc that have not been announced after more than 3 months. However your terms and conditions state that for privacy reasons, all personal details will be deleted within 3 months - how can you award a prize to someone for whom you have no details?
Your T&C state all winners will be announced on the Winners Corner page but no page for 2020 exists, and the most recent entries on the 2019 thread suggest this failure is an long-running ongoing issue.

From Mumsnet Insight Terms and conditions - Privacy of your data
‘For surveys, details of all non-winning entrants will be deleted once the winner has accepted the prize – normally straight away and within a maximum of 3 months.‘
‘For product tests and sponsored events, details of all non-selected applicants will be deleted once we’ve selected testers or attendees. The details of selected testers or attendees will be deleted within a maximum of 3 months of the activity closing.‘

From Mumsnet insight prize draw t&c
‘ 3. You can find out who has won a particular project by looking at our “Winners Corner”. ’ there is no current winners corner

T&c of product and service tests ‘ We will delete the personal details you supply to take part in the product test within three months of the product test ending.’

Please sort this out.

@NameChange2PostThis - no reply I see.

Lougle · 28/07/2020 15:00

Interested to hear the response to this. I've often been put off joining in because there never seems to be a winner.

Regulus · 28/07/2020 15:53

I'd also be interested in hearing the reply.

StormzyInaDCup · 28/07/2020 19:06

Still no response? I'd be interested to know how data is being stored, given what you outline above.
