You don't give out addresses do you MN?

Sorry, this isn't a big deal but I would like this clarified please.

I recently received out of the blue a Boden catalogue. I cannot think of any reason why Boden should suddenly start sending things to me. I have not bought from any new companies recently and anyway, I always tick to not have my details passed on to other companies. It just occurred to me that Boden advertise here and there is quite a Boden following in MN.

Can you please confirm that you have not provided Boden with a list of MNers addresses? Thanks.

MN don't have our addresses DG.

Furball · 02/09/2007 17:41

do mn have our addresss? I'm sure it's just email adresses they ask for.

Nbg · 02/09/2007 17:44

do any other mnetters have your address?

sometimes when people get catalogues, they can pass on friends details so they can recieve a catalogue too.

I know Next do it where if you send 4 brochures and those people order before a certain time, you get vouchers to spend with them.

DumbledoresGirl · 02/09/2007 17:47

Oh don't MN have our addresses? It is so long since I joined, I have forgotten.

I don't know of anyone who uses Boden but it might have been a friend I suppose.

It is called demographics, they look at an area decide if they are the AB types they want and send a speculative mailshot.

DG

Hi DG, just to confirm, no we don't pass on emails to third parties. As someone mentioned, the we don't have postal addresses. Hope this clarifies things.

DumbledoresGirl · 02/09/2007 18:17

Thanks Tech.

Not a Telegraph reader or a BT customer.

Might be on a witness protection plan .... if I am leading 2 lives at once!

How odd.

Well, Boden if you are reading this, sorry but your clothes are overpriced, drab and mumsy (although dh kindly pointed out that I am in fact a mum and therefore mumsy should appeal to me!

I hope your DH can run very very fast...

But you'll never be able to stop the cataloguues now, oh no. Even moved house and they've followed me

MingMingtheWonderPet · 02/09/2007 18:24

Write, 'Not Known at this Address' on them, pop them in the post Return to Sender. That usually gets rid of them. It worked for me anyway.

DumbledoresGirl · 02/09/2007 19:24

Oh no Tinker. I got rid of La Redoute by moving but then foolishly bought something from them again and am now back on their weekly mailing list.

Ming, will try that next time I receive something. I must admit, I opened this catalogue as I was intrigued what all the fuss was about.
