Mentioning people on app

Is there a problem with this. If I type @ and the start of a name a list of all thread contributors comes up but I'm only getting one or two. I'd first assumed you had the option to turn it off and I caught a couple of them but I can barely mention anyone at all. It seemed unlikely?

I have the same thing using chrome on my phone. And sometimes i @ someone and then it changes to someone else entirely

Can we clarify whether it's the IOS or android app you're using?

I'm using the iOS app. It's been happening today all day. I haven't been able to mention anyone I want to.

I dont use the app at all. I'm using chrome on an android phone.
