Can't post on the bereavement threads

I've just name changed so that I can post personal stuff on the bereavement threads, but the message box won't show up on any of the threads. I was able to direct message an OP on one of the bereavement threads. I can post normally elsewhere on the MN site. Can you explain why this is happening? Thanks

Due to the sensitivity surrounding the bereavement topic, and the type of troll that this topic attracts, we do have a 30 day waiting limit before new accounts can post in that part of the site.
