Advanced search problem

This has been going on at least since January 2018. The issue of advanced search not taking you to the actual post but dumping you at the top of the page meaning you have to laboriously scroll through.

MNHQ has stated several times that the ‘tech team’ is looking into this.

Any chance of it being sorted out before January 2022 or is that too much to hope for?

@LilyMumsnet you may remember it as you posted on it yourself at one point assuring us it was fixed.

Hi there @AlexaAmbidextra and @SilverySurfer, we're sorry for the frustration. We did believe it was fixed, but alas it hasn't stayed for long.

@AlexaAmbidextra can we ask whether you are clicking on the title of the thread, or the username link? Also what device/operating system are you viewing the site on when this happens?

Viewing on i-phone and i-pad. Clicking on username. It takes you to the individual post if there is only one page but as soon as the thread spills over into more than one page, clicking on the username just takes you to the start of the thread.

Sorry about the delay with this - our Tech team is aware of the problem and we hope to have an update for very soon.

@LouMumsnet We're counting down the hours on the other thread as it will be TWO YEARS on Friday since it was started and the Tech Team has failed to fix Advanced Search in all that time so we're all going to Maui to celebrate. Hope you will join us

@LouMumsnet I feel very sorry you have to come on these threads and repeat the same old thing, knowing the 'Tech' Team are obviously incapable of fixing this problem. I think it's about time you refused
and tell them to come and tell us themselves.
