The ‘vote’ option in AIBU

Would you consider setting the include vote/poll option on AIBU default to no instead of an automatic yes? There are so many threads that don’t need it and have the OPs apologising and saying things like “sorry, didn’t mean to include a poll” as soon as they have posted their OP.

It would also be good if you could include it on android app (one of many issues with the android app!)

Yes, many threads are now incomprehensible without being able to see the vote feature. Why are there no plans to update the app?

I have voting disabled and don't find any thread incomprehensible as a result.

I was only thinking the other day that it's silly to have the voting feature defaulting to "on". I'd also noticed many posters apologising for it. Alternatively, can it be switched on or off by the thread starter once the thread has been started?

I think it needs to be default 'off'
